A connection does not mean the two dictionary entries always sit next to each other. It means the concepts combine productively, contrast usefully, or depend on each other in common beginner sentence patterns.
Later concepts do not replace these early ones. They attach to them. That is why a cumulative sequence can make each new lesson increase the value of material learned weeks earlier.
The map makes the structure visible. The lessons add audio, controlled retrieval, and repeated recombination so the network becomes usable in real time.
